I believe in Fairys
Two little clouds, one summer’s day,
Went flying through the sky;
They went so fast they bumped their heads,
And both began to cry.
Old Father Sun looked out and said:
‘Oh, never mind, my dears,
I’ll send my little fairy folk
To dry your falling tears.’
One fairy came in violet,
And one wore indigo;
In blue, green, yellow, orange, red,
They made a pretty row.
They wiped the cloud-tears all away,
And then from out the sky,
Upon a line the sunbeams made,
They hung their gowns to dry.
And as the seasons come and go,
here’s something you might like to know.
There are fairies everywhere: under bushes, in the air,
playing games just like you play, singing through their busy day.
So listen, touch, and look around – in the air and on the ground.
And if you watch all nature’s things, you might just see a fairy’s wing.
Few folk have seen a Fairy,
But I found this one for you.
If you believe with all your might
She’ll make your dreams come true.
The hardest thing to do
Is break myself away
From my little faerie enchantress
Since she wants me to stay
And she always gets her way
I fell in love with her
I want her as my wife
I wish I didn’t feel this way
And could get on with my life
Instead there’s only strife
She’s so kind it doesn’t seem real
Makes me feel my love is true
But if that’s really the case
Why is everything blue?
And there’s nothing I can do
I see her with her cheeky grin
And a million other things
She raises up her lilting voice
It’s incredible when she sings
Now I’m caught up in her wings
She swoops down above my head
almost close enough to touch
I launch my self towards my goal
like a rabbit from a hutch
I want her too much
I know I must escape now
This feeling isn’t good
But I’m ensnared by her smile
I only thought of doing what I could
Instead of thinking what I should
I must find a way to break this
to undo this foul spell
I know it wasn’t her intention
but it’s dragging me through hell
and now here I dwell
How do you break a love
that you feel deep in your heart
maybe I have to find a distraction
intercept another cupid dart
well it’s at least somewhere to start
Spread your wings and let the fairy in you fly!
