Well Summer is most definitely over, and we are well into Autumn.
I love this time of year. The rustic golden hues trees and pavement outside my house, the eerie fog in the early hours, the carved pumpkins on my window sill and the cosy collection of winter hats and scarves that I have looked out.
Soon it will be time for sparklers and bonfires, my birthday :), frozen canals, home made soup and then Christmas trees!
Ok, where to start! September has been a really hectic month during which I was only at home for a few days.
At the start of the month I have a few shoots in Switzerland. One of these shoots was with Marcus Ernts (Creativpic Photography) whom I have worked with before.
He shot these cool swimwear images next to an old over grown sauna in the Swiss Countryside:
I was a naughty girl this weekend and didnt do any shoots! Instead, I blagged some free guest passes for a big Dutch festival and went there for the day.
It was super hot, 38 degrees, and I got to hang out in the press tent, sunbathe, dance and listen to the Foo Fighters in a bikini top :).
Because the weather was so hot, everybody was allowed to take in water pistols, so five minutes didnt go bye that I wasnt soaked with water (that shine on me is from water, not perspiration, honest!).
Oh, and check the food they were serving in the press tent! Surf and Turf! Beats soggy burgers any day!
Rain rain go away... come again another day (when I'm not here!).
I had a very nice shoot planned today with a Dutch photographer in a sand dune to make some pretty pictures for my members section. Unfortunately it had to be cancelled as the weather is just terrible :(. Good weather for the ducks, as they say. So instead, i'll do some blogging and share some recent images.
The image across is actually a back stage image. It was taken at a shoot a few weeks ago in Belgium when I was trying to get heated up by a radiator by in window in between shots. I think it works well with the rain theme (OK it wasn't raining during the shoot, but it could have been :P).

Ola! That is me back from my two weeks of decadence in Spain. I was staying in a villa close to Denia which is somewhere between Valencia and Alicante and I had the most fantastic time!
The villa was next to a national park, so I went on a few really nice hikes and because it wasnt high summer yet all the plants were still in flower and the area looked like a massive garden.
The weather was warm and the Spannish food was great! I have never eaten so much tasty sea food (mainly lobsters and prawns with rice) and drank so much good wine in my life.
I had a shoot last week in Rotterdam with a photorgpaher living in Belgium called Robert Cobulski.
We shot for two of his projects, the image shown across is the first piece in his new series "Wake up". We also shot the final piece of his "I'm the Queen" series which you can see on his website:
Well today seems to be a day of good news!
I woke up to a lovely email from Dutch Photographer Ivor Paanakker (whom has also shot for my members section) telling me that our work from a shoot together last year in Deventer, the Netherlands is being published in this months JFK magazine (#33) which has just hit the shops. The article has been titled "The Secret Diary", and we got a full 6 pages in the magazine.
I'm feeling a little bitty yucky and under the weather today, think I worked too hard in Paris :(. So Im taking it easy, staying at home and having an early night with lots of cups of tea.... well so much for my 1st Saturday off in a ages, but on the bright side I have time to do my blog update and watch bad Scottish accents in Rob Roy on the TV!
Well I just got back from 2.5 days of shooting in Paris late last night.
There had been an accident on the train line in Paris and there were delays on all the regional trains, and as my last shoot was outside of Paris itself, and I had to catch the last Thylis home, I had a mad crazy dash to catch my train on time, so I rewarded myself with a nice glass of red wine on the train (not like me at all!).
